Candidates must complete 2 mandatory units covering:
- responsibilities at work
- working within the business environment
A further 3 units are required from a choice of 32 including such things as:
- health and safety
- customer relationships
- diary systems
- business travel
- visitors
- financial transactions
- credit control
- store, retrieve and archive information
- research and reporting information
- organise and support meetings
- use IT systems
- word processing
- spreadsheets
- databases
- presentations
- specialist or bespoke software
- using telephones
- operating office equipment
- preparing text from notes
- preparing text from shorthand, produce documents
- work effectively with other people
Apprentices also cover 2 key skill areas - communication and application of number and complete a technical certificate
