Candidates must complete 2 mandatory units covering:
- responsibilities at work
- working within the business environment.
A further 4 units are required from a choice of 25 including such things as:
- supervising an office facility
- manage and evaluate customer relationships
- procure products and services
- manage the payroll function
- monitor information systems
- run projects
- research, analyse and report information
- plan, organise and support meetings
- make a presentation
- organise and co-ordinate events
- word processing
- spreadsheets
- web site software
- artwork and imaging software
- design and produce documents
- plan and implement innovation and change
- develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- preparing text from notes
- preparing text from shorthand
Apprentices also cover 2 key skill areas - communication and application of number and complete a technical certificate
