Kirklees Prospectus - - Provider 16 to 19 Course Details

Earn as you Learn as an Accounts Apprentice.  You will study towards the NVQ Level 2 in Accounting and will obtain the AAT Foundation Qualification

As part of the AAT Foundation Certificate you will learn the Basics of Accounting practises including;

Recording and Making Payments and Receipts
Supplying Information
Working with Computers
Improving Personal Practices

We ask that you have 5 GCSE's at A-C including English and Maths.  However if you do not have these qualifications  and have an interest in working in finance we still want to talk to you!  So don't let this put you off applying!

During your interview we will also ask to sit a computerised multiple choice Numeracy and Literacy assessment and a written Literacy assessment.  We will take these results into consideration when looking at your application.

Your assessment will be continuous in the form of a portfolio made up of work you have done both at college and with your employer.

You will also sit an end of year exam set by the AAT

There are no fees for this course.

If you successfully complete the Accounts Apprenticeship you will be guaranteed a place on our Advanced Apprenticeship programme.

This is an Apprenticeship Opportunity but we WILL help YOU find employment if you are not already working in Accounts.

You will study on a Day Release basis for about 26 Weeks out of the year and for the rest of the time you will be an official employee of a company earning a real wage!
