Advanced Apprenticeships in Children's Care Learning and Development are aimed at people working within a child care setting, who have supervisory responsibilities. (0-16years)
To achieve the full Advanced Apprenticeship Certificate candidates must complete the full NVQ award plus key skills and Technical Certificate.
NVQ
The following units must be achieved
- Develop and promote positive relationships
- Develop and maintain a healthy , safe and secure environment for children
- Promote children's development
- Reflect and develop practice
- Protect and promote children's rights
- Plan and organise environments for children and families
- Promote the health and physical development of children
- Assess children's progress according to curriculum frameworks for early education
- Plan implement positive environments for babies and children under 3 years
- Create environments that promote positive behaviour

A portfolio of evidence must be assembled for both key skills to achieve the Advanced Apprenticeship, together with an on line test for: -

• Application of Number
Please note some exemptions from external tests may be applicable
On line tests can be carried out on a lap top in the work place or in the training centre
