Description
An Advanced Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations requires attendance at College on a day release basis. The National Occupational Standards are determined by CITB and these are adhered to throughout the assessment process. To achieve the Level 3 Apprenticeship you will have to prove competence in a number of mandatory units and a number of optional. You will also be required to successfully complete the Advanced Construction Award and Key Skills Application of Number and Communication at Level 2. You will need to prove competence in:- - Assisting in establishing the operational area - Assisting with progressing operations - Assisting with organising resources - Co-ordinating self and others to erect complex brick and blockwork - Co-ordinating self and others to produce complex walling details - Co-ordinating and producing complex construction aids The optional units complete the full qualification and these will be determined by the opportunity for collection of evidence at work
What will I Learn?

The Advanced Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations is for those who have successfully completed their level 2 qualification and who are capable of undertaking more complex jobs without supervision and who are also capable of supervising others.

What are the Entry Requirements?
Applicants should have completed the Level 2 Apprenticeship. If this has not been completed, GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above is required. All applicants will be interviewed and assessed for suitability by a Training Officer. Applicants will be expected to be in relevant employment with the support of an employer who can offer work that supports NVQ completion
How will I be Assessed

Assessments take place out on site by qualified assessors and in the college workshops. The practical and theory work is continually assessed throughout the programme
